Why wouldn't I?

Why wouldn't I start school when Dexter is 9 months and Violet is 3?
Why wouldn't I start the home buying process at the same time?
Why wouldn't I join the gym also?
Why wouldn't I start eating better too?
Why wouldn't I sign up for another 5K?
Why wouldn't we get another tow truck?
Might as well start couponing again too!
Oh and get back on the dave ramsey.
And let's not forget sleep training Dexter.
Holy crap.
Good thing I only have to accomplish one day at a time.
It's time for bed.

Violet has started taking pictures. "Mom say cheese"

Dove Hunting

Dalton and Paul have been dove hunting. I think it is so great for them to get out and do something together. As long a they don't think I'm cooking any wild bird they can do whatever they want. And look how cute manly they are! Violet wants to go so bad. Maybe next year?

Dexter

What a great picture of my handsome hubby. This is not about him though. Mr Dexter is getting so big and I need to write a few things down. He started waving bye bye yesterday. It is the cutest thing ever.  He is waving all the time now. He is taking steps all the time too. 10 is the most I've seen. I wouldn't say he is walking yet but he is so close. He knows it's easier to crawl still. He has 5 teeth 2 on top and 3 on bottom. I don't know why that 4th one on the bottom isn't coming in the other 2 on top are already poking through. He has the best toothy grin! He finally picked up a banana and put it in his mouth. I have been offering them for about a month.
Everyday and he has never touched them. So good. Making progress. I'm pretty sure he is saying mama and dada to me and paul now. That might just be my imagination though. Can they say words this young? Who knows. I forget everything so each kid is like I never had one before.

Pre school

She loved it. And I love having a girl who talks to me all the time. My boys never did. As soon as I get there to pick her up she is telling me all the stuff they did. I got pictures of her first three days. I'll probably get more too because I'm crazy I guess. .I love dressing her up and sending her to school. Love it. The second day she did not want to go. It was a fight all morning. She was fine once she got there though.

Violet's Birthday Party

Violet is three!

Oh man...how do I describe Violet?? She is so cool! She is getting quite the sense of humor lately. And she tells outrageous stories that usually involve her imaginary friends. She has 2 of them around all the time, Sophie and Sally. They are usually getting into the same trouble that she does only a lot more often. "Mom...Sophie hit me" or "Mom, Sally said the F word" I love listening to her talk on the phone while she plays "hello, Sophie's Mom? This is Violet Skye. Can Sophie come over? Yes? Okaybye".

She likes girly stuff. She will sometimes tell us that this is a boy show and that she doesn't want to watch it. She wants everything in pink and princess. I draw the line at dress up and pajamas though for princess wear. She can't have a princess on everything! She is still a little jealous of Dexter I think. She shoves him down a lot. Maybe it's not jealousy, maybe she just gets tired of him touching her stuff, I don't know. We have been working on time outs if she hurts her brother. She has quite the temper and doesn't yet  know how to express the herself. She tells me "go away stupid mommy". That one gets old by the end of the day! We just took her off pullups. 3 year olds don't wear pullups we told her. So far so good. It will just take practice I think. We went for her 3 year old visit and everything looked great. She is 35 inches which is 13th percentille and 31 pounds which  58th percentille. We are going to do some testing on her kidneys because she keeps getting uti's. That is her only  health problem though. She is still a good eater. She will try anything and she loves fruits and veggies. What a great thing. She did great at her first visit to the dentist and she brushes her teeth no problems. In some ways she is the easiest kid and in others the hardest. I couldn't imagine our lives without her. What a blessing!! We love you Violet Skye.

Yay Dad!

So, Violet's bike got left at grandma & grandpa's house for a few days. We even went there and forgot to bring it home a couple times. She would say "Mom I remembered you to bring it and you didn't"! One night Paul brought Dalton's bike home from the shop on the wrecker. She was so upset that her bike wasn't on there too. The next day we got her bike from g & g's in the trunk of the car. We stopped at the shop to say hi to Dad and she made us get it out so it could come home on the wrecker. Yay Dad, he straped it to the bed of the truck an drove it home when he got off work.
